Pep Guardiola admitted that Manchester City do not know who their No 1 is for the season – just a week after insisting that Ederson was his definite pick in goal.
Galatasaray want to land Ederson before the transfer window closes, with City in negotiations over a surprise move for Paris Saint-Germain's Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Guardiola indicated that he was to choose Ederson over James Trafford ahead of last weekend's 4-0 victory at Wolves, only for the former to miss out on the trip and the club citing illness.
The City boss was far less bullish about the Brazilian ahead of Saturday's match against Tottenham and claimed that a decision on who plays will be made late.
'We see tomorrow, we see who trains good,' Guardiola said. 'We'll talk with [coach] Xabi [Mancisidor] and we'll see.
'New players always bring energy and everything… James brought youth, desire to play at the club he was born and grown in. Happy for his performance but it's just the first game.'
