Manchester United has struck personal terms with Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.
AS says Varane, who is attracted by the project pitched by United to his minders, has now settled on a contract with the Premier League giants, with just bonuses needing to be settled.
United are also in contact with Real Madrid about a fee and aim to do business for less than £45m.
Real Madrid chiefs are resigned to selling Varane this summer after he rejected efforts to open new contract talks.
The defender's current deal will expire next summer.
